⯈ Source Verifiability

Source verifiability is a valid security principle; it is also a primary way of sharing information packages within the LAEW ecosystem.

When practical and feasible, file packages released by ICOSIEL are accompanied by means of independent verification methods allowing users to confirm that the received file corresponds to the original published release.

Technical Verification Method

Users interested in the technical details can independently reproduce the SHA-256 verification process using a simple local Python script.

import hashlib

filename = "LAEW.zip" # or your other LAEW package file name

with open(filename, "rb") as f:
    digest = hashlib.sha256(f.read()).hexdigest()

print(digest)
